I live in Canberra, Australia's capital. Canberra is not as big as Sydney or Melbourne and has a population of around 325,000. It is very pretty but it can also be boring. The biggest industy here is the Australian Government and Defence. We seem to be a very sport orientated city with most sports played. We can get quite hot in summer and also very cold in winter. There are a lot of places of culture here like the Australian War Memorial, Parliament House, Australian Institure of Sport to name just a few. Following an international contest for the design of the city a Chicago architect Walter Burley Griffin was selected. The man made lake that divides the north and south of the city was named after him.

I was born in Elmer, New Jersey, USA! I lived in South Jersey till I graduated & moved steadily North. Now I live in Blairstown, which is near the Delaware Water Gap. It is beautiful & we have trees & wonderful hiking trails, through the area. I love it here as we can ski in PA or NY in winter & visit NYC, which is only an hour or so away!

Australia, New South Wales. Born and raised here, probably a third or fourth (or even fifth) generation Australian. Not a descendent of convicts!! My ancestors came here as free English settlers.

I'm yet to go to a foreign country. Tasmania is beautiful, but it doesn't count. :)
