My dog doesn't seem to want to go outside for a walk. When I tell her to go to the corridor she hides under the dining table and runs away. We tried to catch her but that just makes her run away and it makes her think it's a game. She's wearing her bridle and today we attached a short leash to it. She's a small dog so she gets away easily. She's a Shiba Inu and Shibas don't really listen well, but lately she's been behaving badly and she doesn't listen to us on purpose. Any ideas on how to make my dog to outside? Thanks in advance!

I agree that she is scared. Using treats or a favorite toy to lure her outside and then reinforce her is a good idea. It is important that what you are using will make it worth her while to go out; whatever you use must be more exciting to her than the outdoors is scary. Dog biscuits probably won't cut it - use chicken, steak, cat treats, liver, or anything else she may love. Giving her tiny pieces (about the size of a pea or two) will prevent diarrhea or vomiting.

Make her go. Do not play into her fears or she will think that she can get away with anything with you. If you act like going for a walk is a big deal she's going to react to that. If you act like going for a wlk is no big deal, then she'll get used to it, she'll learn she has to do what you want her to do instead of doing whatver she wants.

maybe take her to a trainer. you can train her yourself but by taking her to a training class you will help to socialize her with other dogs and other people and she will learn that listening to you means she gets treats or love and affection. if you do it your self give her a reason to want to go out carry some training treats with you. and when she listens give her one.

all you have to do is coax her outside with a treat each time and after she gets out, then give her the treat good luck
