depends a lot on what one is tempted by. what is tempting to you may not be tempting to me. what may be tempting to me may not be to another. since there are so many tempting things to different people where would we stop getting rid of these tempting things. there may be nothing left of any culture, society or civilization.

If you want a biblical answer, it would be us - everyone with a sin nature inherited from Adam. Read the Book of James. If there was nothing inside of us to respond, temptation would have no effect. Fortunately, the believer has a door of escape and a Way of forgiveness and restoration.

They need to stop obsessing over it and making their problems everyone else's.
Remember psychology 101? You're told not to think of a pink elephant. So what do you think of, *instantly*? A pink elephant, right? Well, think of what happens when you're constantly being told "no" to *everything*, that *anything* fun is a sin or a temptation!
I feel like making a T-shirt saying "Your self-control issues are not my problem."

Life is a series of tests to get through. There will always be temptation and laugh if you will but I believe that Satan is alive and well and running around planet earth. I believe most temptations come from him to try and make us fail God.

Temptation is a natural part of life. It is the ability to withstand temptation that makes someone great, not their ability to hide from it. However, lewdness should not be flaunted only to make someone feel awkward. Mutual respect is a better approach.

if the temptation is to think for self,
they are in trouble
if calling what is natural to be evil and must be avoided, it is hopeless
it's called denial and even monks have issues and carry fans around to shield thier eyes from possible temptations, wear blinders and try not to remember they were born with natural occuring hormones
it's just a mind job from start to finish
by calling something evil, the pundits of christianity and other holiness religions have created a market for themselves complete with indulgences you can pay to satisfy your guilt and make you think you must give to get
giving to get....the definition of religion

In Christianity, the Devil is named Satan, sometimes Lucifer. He is a fallen angel who rebelled against God, and has been condemned to Hell. In the Bible, he is identified with the serpent in the Garden of Eden, the Accuser of Job, the tempter of the Gospels, and the dragon in the Book of Revelation. He is described as hating all humanity, spreading lies, deceit amoung the world

THe answer is simple, God loves us so much that he decided that instead of forcing us to follow him he would give us a choice, to follow the devil or to follow him. temptations come from the devil trying to get us to follow him. But he doesn't force you eather you have to decide. And with God's help you will choese the right thing.
