You should ask your cousin and his friend what they prefer to be called. They may be more than boyfriends. On the other hand, they may not have made a commitment to one another that warrants their being called partners. And "friend" might make it seem that you're ashamed of them. Best to ask. Some couples feel able to be out and open with everyone, but others still feel the need to be cautious. I look forward to the day when this will no longer be true.

I would suggest u say this is my cousin's significant other. That will break the ice and everyone should be just fine. But say ex: This is Sam my significant other. Then no one's feelings are hurt and everyone goes on with their lives. Good Luck! It will be fine.

Just like you would anyone else..by their name. When introducing them you could say this is my cousins friend so and so or you could introduce him as your cousins significant other.
