The Bible was written by at least 40 different people over a period of about 2000 years. Moses, David, Jeremiah, Samuel, Joel, Hosea, Paul, Matthew, John, Daniel, Isaiah, Mark, Luke, Jonah, Obadiah, Ezekial, Solomon, Ezra. Theses are a few of the people that helped write the scriptures. Did you know that the scriptures are all inspired by God. People for years prayed which books should be kept and which left out. The first was the Old testament, and second was the New Testament. Can't remember when that was. Some believe it was Constantine that did the New Testament. I know that He never had a hand in it at all. The New Testament was already compiled by that time.

In the Hebrew Scriptures most are written by the name of the book. (Isaiah wrote Isaiah)

1st five books by Moses, and probably the book of Job

1 and 2 Samuel, The prophets Samuel, Gad, Nathan

1 and 2 Chronicles, Ezra

Greek Scriptures,

Paul wrote all but the books of Peter, Jude, James, and the letters of John & Revelation

Acts is by Luke

Hebrews is probably Paul.

In all 40 some individuals were used.

Having said this Jehovah is the Author of the Bible, these mean only penned the words.

The only known author of any of the books of the Bible, is Paul. The others are all anonymous, including the Gospels, which were not written by their namesakes.
