Well first off, you should NEVER install two antiviruses at the same time. They don't get along with one another. Why did you even try to install the two biggest resource hogs in the antivirus industry? Seriously, Norton is bad enough, McAfee is even worse and has crap for virus detection.

Start your computer in safe mode, log in as Administrator, and run a System restore. That should fix your problem.

Unistall all norton elements first through upload/get rid of classes contained in the administration panel or through the initiating menu contained in the classes folder first, then flow ahead and set up mcafee. you could try this each and anytime you want. you want to uninstall norton first because it really isn't any longer a sturdy theory to have 2 anti-virus apps on your computing gadget jointly, as they'd conflict with one yet another and casue significant issues on your gadget, so somewhat make certain you uninstall norton earlier installation macafee. when you've finished installation macafee, make certain you get the present updates to make certain you could capture the present threats that would make a house on your computing gadget.

It isn't a good idea to have multiple anti-virus software applications enabled at the same time. They keep checking out each other, slows down the computer, causes a 'freezing' of the computer, and complicates the who computing process. If you have more than one anti-virus package, disable one. Then, if you want to, after a scan with the enabled package, disable it and then enable the other and do a scan. Really, however, if you have Norton's with its updates, you don't need anything else.
