Officer Rodney Johnson
WASHINGTON – Charged with molesting a 12-year-old girl, Juan Leonardo Qunitero had been deported back to Mexico in 1999 as an illegal alien. Nevertheless, last week, he was back in the U.S., living comfortably in a city that prohibited police from asking anyone about their immigration status.

Rodney Johnson was a 12-year veteran on the Houston police force. Married with five children, he was big, kind-hearted and unafraid of working the toughest gang beats or late-night shifts.

On Thursday, Sept. 21, around 5:30 p.m., he pulled over a white Ford pickup driving 50 mph in a 30 mph zone in what should have been a routine traffic stop. The driver, Quintero, had neither a driver's license nor any other identification so, after a pat down, Johnson handcuffed him and placed him in the back of his patrol car. But Johnson missed the gun in Quintero's waistband. The prisoner pulled it out and fired four times at Johnson at close range.

When Johnson was laid to rest this week after his execution-style murder he joined a growing list of law enforcers gunned down by foreign criminals. Meanwhile, in Florida, a sheriff’s deputy was killed and another shot in the leg today after they pursued a motorist who ran away from a traffic stop.

Deputy Vernon Matthew “Matt” Williams and his K-9 unit were shot dead, officials said. Deputy Doug Speirs was shot in the leg but was expected to recover. Polk County sheriff’s deputies are searching for the suspect, described as a black man with a Jamaican accent with dreadlocks wearing a white or light colored shirt and dark pants.

yup. We in Texas talk about illegals and all of the negative consequences all time. It wasn't until lately that the rest of the country started to pay attention.

Did you know that under the immigration plan the senate had earlier in the year, that scum like that guy would still have been able to stay in the US? We need every illegal in this country gone. Then they can get in line, prove who they are, and wait for our laws to admit them if we choose to.

Here we go again, black man, he was an illegal alien. Cops are good for the states, my first husband was one. Many get killed, shot up, or hurts in accidents trying to protect us. Only when it affects one, does one speak out. Why does it take personal tragedy for people to speak up. Why don't people think what happens to other can also happen to them. It is a two sided view point when it comes to cops. They do a lot of killing of innocent people (Karen Knotts and the 4 chosen ones), a bit trigger happy for me. They seem to want to show how much power they have. We let the foreign criminals in this country, what do we expect. They are not law abiding in their country, why would they be in this country?

This has nothing to do with illegal immigration at all. It is about a criminal. The criminal could just as easily have been an American citizen. And if the officer had had the right or even the obligation to ask about the criminal's immigration status, it would not have changed the outcome at all in this case. You are misleading people.

I heard about that. It's really sad. I want to know why the city prohibits police officers from asking people about their immigration status. It is people's choice to be for or against illegal immigration, but how can they stop people from trying to uphold the law?

Of course it's horrible people die horrible deaths everday, but the color of the murderer should have nothing to do with it. How was it preventable how would you have prevented it I would love to hear that one, Life's not fair those people did not deserve to die but instead of dwelling on the bad stuff you should take it as a lesson learned and live your life to the fullest, because the fact is everybody has a time limit.

I even have by no potential seen "loss of scientific wellness insurance" indexed as a reason of loss of life on a loss of life certificates. Your declare is fullyyt bogus and fake. each and every physique in u.s., inclusive of illegals and welfare leeches has get right of entry to to the superb wellness care industry interior the international. If a individual gets unwell or injured and refuses to circulate to a doctor, it is their very own fault and difficulty. frm7716, clinics and emergencet rooms are actually not "unfastened"! the expenditures for those centers is extra to the charges of people who surely PAY for the centers they get carry of. Lee, we already understand the thank you to regulate beginning and thought. The not common area is getting the poeple to do it.
