Lotus is a spreadsheet program. both Linux and Unix are operating systems just like MacOSX and Windows XP.

Lotus Notes is an email system. There are two basic parts to it, the server (Lotus Domino) (think exchange server) and the client (Lotus Notes) (think outlook). They also make a spreadsheet. The other two are operating systems, really just different versions of the same base operating system.
