I am assuming your brother is in Iraq or Afganistan. If so the only way to communicate with him is if you have an emergency. You can contact the red cross and advise them of you emergency. You'll need to know where he is located and his unit and brigade. Then they will need to confirm your emergency (ie, call the doctor). Then they will contact the unit and advise your brother of emergency and have him contact you

If you know your brothers unit or even post you can look that place up on the internet. say hes from ft hood. the website is www.hood.army.mil. there are organizations for each unit called family readiness groups (frg), these places help families out with any issues that come up. Or you can try to email him at his first.lastname@us.army.mil. if there is an emergency the best way is through a redcross message. they will find him, trust me. the post websites usually have a phonebook posted and you can try to call the rear detachment staff duty or orderly room for his respective unit. Hope one of these helps you out...

HE will contact you, and not the other way around. That is the way things work when you are stationed somewhere where it is sensitive in nature (like a combat zone).
For real emergencies (like a death in the family, serious illness, accidents), you can contact the American Red Cross, who will go through the Chain of Command to find the Servicemember to convey that information to them.

you did'nt tell us a whole lot to help you, so it depends.
If he is a soldier in the states then you would need to find out what unit he is in, after you find out what unit he is in look it up on the internet, type -his unit- battle captain, and look for a number, then once you get ahold of the battle captain just ask for a contact number for him.
if he is in iraq then you can only right him unless he calls you.
basically do the same thing to write him only instead of asking the battle captain for his number get an address, and then you can mail him, but it takes over a week for most of us to recieve mail out here.
if there is an emergency situation, you need to contact red cross immediately and they will make contact w/ him.
good luck, and good luck to him

I understand your question differently then the other people. And i would think you don't understand him? And want to bring to his mind that fighting without good cause, real truth, and a personal matter ain't no good. I try to understand my brother, who is in the army too, and his ways of thinking. But his way of thinking just ain't his way of thinking. It is the army thought. His commanders words fly from his mouth, and I can only hope he stays in the unit he is in. He is part of the genius section, so they only help and rebuild in suffered areas.
I wish you, your parents and your brother a ton of luck!

Well if he's ur brother. Than shouldn't he call u every now and then. And if not you do know where his duty station is right. I'm sure you could call up some department there tell them ur brothers name and rank and all that good stuff... And maybe they can lead u in the right direction...

If it is a matter of life and death, you can call the Red Cross but you need his social security number.
And they check! When my daughter was born we were able to reach my brother-in-law who was in Desert Storm but only after providing hospital records to the Red Cross to prove we had just had a baby.
If you know where he is then you can mail him to his APO.

If you feel like it. E-mail me and I can let you know the best ways to do this, because there are too many to list right now. A lot of this depends on what you already know, so I will need more info before I can help.

Contact the American Red Cross or the Department of the Army.
God Bless and Protect your brother, he is a true American Hero and not a couch hugging coward.
