Spaniels for sure and for the big breeds, the Irish Wolfhound.

Labs and Goldens are nice dogs, but they're well overbred and if you're not careful, you can really end up with a hyper one that's hard to control. They can sometimes play pretty rough, too.

Any spaniel or lab, or mixed breed with either. Go to the American Kennel Association website and look at the descriptions of each breed.

I vote for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (small breeds) and Boxer (large breeds).

I have had dogs all my life and the sweetest natured dog I've ever come across is a miniature schnauzer. They think they're people not dogs and they have the most mellow personalities...at least the females do. They're also great with children...they love attention and they love anybody who talks to them.

I would have to say just about all breeds, Labs an Goldens for sure, I have a Bouvier that I would describe this way, If they are raised well they can all be this way.

Collies, they're always happy but not overly hyper and bouncing around. They also seem to get along with all people and all animals.
