always use the special pins supplied to secure the chicken in place but every time I use it the chicken drops to bits any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?

Sounds like maybe you're overcooking it. An hour adn a half should be plenty.

If not, consider using twine to truss that little birdie up. Tuck the wing tips underneath (like he's putting his hands behind his head) and tie the leg tips together so they don't flop around. It should cook a little more uniformly this way.

I'm envious of your oven w/ that rotiss in it! :-)

This is common. You are not over cooking the chicken, it is just really tender. Tuck the wings and tie the legs together. I stuff my chicken with carrots and onions before before putting it in the rotisserie and found that it would fall out, but I found a metal plate that forks into the end of the chicken and was originally marketed for turkeys, Good luck with this and enjoy your rotisserie.

part cook your chicken in the microwave first, this alters the texture of the meat, then finish it off on the rotissorie in the usual way

Try trussing it up with kitchen string, by falling to bits do you mean it is tender? Sounds like it is deliciousMMMMM
