I've been using a rucksack for carrying uni papers and textbooks, but the zip is going and I need something else.

I'd like something more like a courier bag e.g. single shoulder-strap with a pouch hanging near the waist.

Any suggestions for good bag styles, and where to get them?

What do you use for school / uni / work / whatever?

Seriously the rucksack is the best way to go, invest in a good quality one like an Eastpak bag.

I had a shoulder bag, and it was very stylish but terrible to lug around. All those text books and papers make the bag very heavy, and put alot of strain on the one shoulder. I used to have terrible back pain!

You could try one of those bags that are half way between a handbag and a holdall, but they look nice.

You can get them anywhere really.

one shoulder bags are good but make sure it's one where you can change shoulders or you could end up with back problems

Bags on wheels seem to be very practical. They probably aren't cool, though.
