i need some help here. i need to drop about 10 lbs to decrease a weight class, within a week, but i cannot afford to lose any muscle. ive have heard of the dehydration method, but never tried it or looked into it. can i get some helpfull information, like maybe the health effects, and how it is bad for a person. or if there is a more beneficial way. i just need to make sure that i dont lose any muscles. any information is helpful.

Dehydrating your self is a fast but unhealthy way to lose weight. When you dehydrate yourself, you shrink your muscles (they are 70% water).

What you need to do is this.

Eat light food. Fruits, yogurt, egg whites, beans, veggies. These will supply you with the nutrients you need but they do not weight a lot (like a steak) and your body can break them down faster.

Stay away from sugars and eat very few carbs.

Get a hair cut and shave your body. Seriously, it adds a little weight.

Poop before you weigh in.

Then when you have to lose a little more, dehydrate by light exercise and/ or sauna (not at the same time). The plastic sweat suits are really bad for you.

After you make weight, rehydrate yourself fully and slowly. Then modify your diet to stay at that weight so you don't have to do it again.

dehydration isn't very healthy sounding, but a good way to do a way of dehydration is eat lots of bananas (theyll also make your muscles more cut looking) but you should really just go on a diet, less protein for a while, but try and maintain your muscle, there is no real solution for this.

You do not want to do that. That and starving are the worst ways to loose weight. I reccomend that you keep working out. Drink nothing but water (nothing else, maybe milk that's it) And cut down on what you eat. The more water you drink the more you will loose. You can not drink too much water, its not how much you drink it is how fast you drink it so don't drink like a gallon at a time. But that is how I have lost 25lbs. Good luck and always loose weight the healthy way.

Dehydration? Are you serious? You're going to gain that weight right as if it were nothing. Just eat smaller meals throughout the day.

You can seriously strain your body by dehydrating yourself. :\

LOL @ I need to know the health effects of dehydration! WHAT DO YOU THINK THE HEALTH EFFECTS ARE? PS. You do lose muscle. Go lose weight the right, and healthy way.

i don't get why you do not desire to income muscle.
