As in many rural parishes we have lost our village school (which provided a makeshift village community centre) , church attendance is falling and the there should be potential to modify the large village church to accommodate a sort of community centre. Examples of successful modifications would help - also any guidance on possible grants etc available.

Upgrade the Kitchen to a Commercial Kitchen, take out the pews and sand and wax the floor and you are on your way. Leave the stuff on the walls, it's nice to look at
