Just loosely wad some tissue paper (paper towels are a little too thick, please try not to break spidey's legs) and SOFTLY come down on the thing and pluck it up. Don't get shivery and nervous, practice the mantra: " I am Spider Plucker. I relocate spiders." Once you do this, it can't move (visualize its collapsed bent legs all katterwampus)
My friend has a product that resembles a dust buster, which is for sucking up spiders to be released. It has a button in the handle and a long transparent tube for spidey to go in. Check around...

It's bad luck to kill spiders. They're here to help - by killing flies etc - and they do you no harm. A house without a spider is an unlucky house. Obviously you only need one or two. The surplus should be relocated to the nearest garden/scrubland/open space using the glass and paper technique.

Take one glass and one piece of thick paper or card, put glass over spider, tilt glass ever so slightly and slide paper or card underneath it, hold top of glass with one hand and the underneath of the paper or card with other hand, take to an open window or door and let the spider go to freedom, never kill them inside your house as it is bad luck.

if ur serious dexter, the best way to do it is take a glass or cup or such like container and then slip it under its opening after covering the spider with it. & then carry the whole thing outside.

that's what i'd do. i love spiders i think they are a much misunderstood and unfairly treated creature. we couldn't survive without them, we take their habitsts, make our homes into spider friendly environments and then resent it when they try to take up residence in Their usurped space!

Get a glass and cover the spider. Slip a sheet of paper below it carefully and hold in place. Let it go somewhere warm and it wont die.

Try to fumigate the entire place, this will end the spider problem as well as any other unwanted pests, like dust lice, fleas, cochroaches, moths, flies etc...

If they are house spiders, they are good to have. They help get rid of other pests. Leave them alone : )

You can get a device which is basically a tube that sucks up the offending creepy-crawly. It's less powerful than a hoover. You can then deposit the creature outside. They're available in those 'Innovations'-type catalogues.
