I did two different things for two different people. First, my ex's and my 10th anniversary, I set up a picnic (so nice) and then a hot air balloon ride, followed with a sexy night in a hot tub!!! It was very romantic.
Secondly, with my present (which he doesn't deserve now) lol, on Valentine's Day ( couple yrs ago) I reserved a room, got a bunch of balloons (hellium) flowers for him, chocolates, rose petals all over the bed and a sexy, hot game. I shouldn't have bothered. He wasn't impressed!! Oh, and I had a bubble bath drawn for us and champagne and strawberries by the tub as a surprise! I couldn't believe he didn't get anything from it.

My man has done a lot of romantic things for me.

But I like the little things best. ( this one even he thinks was little)

One Valentines day we agreed not to exchange gifts, but only go out to an expensive restaurant a nd movie.

But on Valentines day, while I was on my way to buy him something small ( I couldn't help myself)

In my front seat of my car was a bear that sings "cherish me" a box of candy and a large card. LOL

I loved it the most out of about 20 stuffed animals etc over the past 5 years.

Well one other thing he did for me was great too. one night I had called home from work and told him I had a bad migraine. When I got home, he had a bubble bath ran, lights of, with candles lite, and a Smirnoff on ice..... a note stuck in the bathroom door from him and my kids wishing me well.

OHHHHH!

Dinner cooked and served by me (her favorite meal). After dinner we retired to a room full of lit candles, flowers, and soft romantic music playing in the background. Also pillows and blankets were laid out on the floor with a roaring fire going. Then to top it off a gift for her, something she has always wanted.

I posted this as a question - got good feedback - tried it - and it worked great!!!

I got a nice pair of earings for a girl I dated in high school. I wrapped them in nice tissue paper and then sealed them in a hollow walnut shell. She looked so confused when she got a walnut as a Christmas present and the look of suprise on her face when she opened them was great.

My wife and I live really close to the Deleware river in South Jersey. One year I was unemployed at the time of our anniversary and didn't have any money for a gift. After a day of job hunting I went down to the riverbank and got a bunch of sea shells that were in the sand and cleaned them up. The night before our anniversary I made a trail of them around the house that led her to pictures of us and love notes. She loved it.

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.

On Valentine's Day, 4 months after our daughter was born, I surprised him with an evening of romance. I provided her grandparents the opportunity to babysit and then I got to cooking. I made New Orleans dishes such as shrimp jambalaya, raw oysters, expensive wine and peaches flambe for dessert. We ate by candlelight, and really enjoyed the precious free time dedicated to ourselves. I'm glad it turned out so well, for he died five years later. Savor the romance and memories!

I don't really do romantic stuff but, if you want to do something nice for a guy, just buy him "man" stuff and he will be happy. So I guess my purse is romantic and not me!

Had the whole room decorated for my gf's birthday with all the different kind of flowers she loved even the rare ones. So...anywhere she touched and walked was nothing but soft flowers.
