Generously pour baking soda over it and let it sit for a few days, then vacuum up. My sister had this problem with dog urine in her bedroom carpet. Nothing worked, not even a professional cleaning.
Baking soda did the job! It's great! Good luck!

There is a product on the market called Urine Gone. It is an used enzymes to remove old and new stains. I am not sure if it is available in stores, but here is a link. I have also included a link to Target where it received good and bad reviews. I hope this helps. Some people made other suggestions.

Only if it's fresh, will you be able to get it out. If it's old -- good luck. There's not a product in the world that will get it out or mask it. Despite what some products claim, cat urine or spray is nearly impossible to rid.

Best bet - new carpet.
