Do you mean domineering?

Exercising headship can go wrong easily.

Man, as head of household is to be loving, -----cherishing his wife.
She in turn is to have deep respect for her husband.

To be domineering is not good. Being dominate is a little easier on the relationship, but goes wrong to easily.

To be dominate really is not the best way to exercises headship, because usually one that is like that doesn't consider his wife's feelings and opinions in matters..

Read "My Experiments with Truth" by Ghandi, or at least Google it. He showed quite how to be gentle, and still win.
