Im going out to a Thai restaurant tonight and not really tried Thai food much. Had a taster a long time ago and it was like a green curry dish but it had a distinctive taste, i didnt like it. But ive decided to go tonight to give it a chance to see if it was just a one off. I love Prawns, chicken, Lamb, Fish. Dont like any nuts in food or sweet dishes, i love spicy or savoury dishes. Any ideas on what to try, maybe even drinks/deserts. Thanks for your help in advance.

xx

I would guess that most people who are shy of adventurous eating start out with Pad Thai. It's a light noodle dish that does not look like something you've never tried before. I get it with fried tofu but it's also delicious with chicken. You can ask the server to make it more or less spicy depending on your tastes. If you have the option, try Thai Iced Tea. It's got a white frothiness that is superb. Spring rolls with fish oil sauce (kind of like duck sauce in Chinese food) is a great appetizer. Good luck tonight (and stay away from the curry if you're nervous!).

Pad Thai for sure with Chicken, Shrimp or Pork are normally your choice. If the restaurant serves it hot make sure and order to your liking.
