Look at their track record. They kicked God out of school. No prayers at ceremonies, even by students. You can have Mien Kampf in the library but not the Bible.

They are currently removing the Ten Commandments from buildings and courts, banned the Pledge of Allegiance because God is mentioned and on and on.

They have attempted it and are attempting it.

Being a Unitarian Universalist, a denomination on the liberal side of the spectrum, I will tell you the answer is no. Too many conservatives mistakenly seem to associate the word liberal with the word promiscuous. Politically or religiously liberal people recognize that there is more than one way to be religious or spiritual. They merely ask that all people be able to exercise their right of conscience in religious matters (e.g. the first amendment of the US Constitution).

There is not now and never has been a ban on individual religious expression in the public arena. There are limitations on things that people can do in carrying out leadership roles in government and government sponsored institutions to prevent the appearance or defacto establishment of a "state religion". This relates to the first amendment of the US Constitution and the "establishment clause":

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

Liberals are more comfortable with ambiguity. They recognize that some things in life are matters of personal taste or conscience with no absolute "right" or "wrong" answers. Conservatives seem to need an absolutely "right" answer for everything. So again, "No", liberals don't want to outlaw Christianity. They just want to prevent conservative, right wing, extremist Christians from outlawing everyone else's religion.

You need to look at the root of the work Liberal. The problem most conservatives have with Liberals is that they want certain freedoms for the individuals that are not restricted by an outdated code of ethics. The real issue is that the liberals want the wealthy to be responsible to those who are less fortunate, and we can't have that now can we. A Liberal would sooner make your GTA games illegal than strike down a religious institution. They just don't want the religious institution making decisions for them.

If you keep demonising "Liberals" as some kind of extension of Satan, possibly :P

Seriously, no. The whole point of being "liberal" is meant to be tolerance and acceptance, illegalising a religion would totally go against that. It also doesn't matter which side of the political spectrum you're on...you can be centrist or conservative and still believe in secularism and non-preference given to traditional monotheism...like I'm more or less pure republican-libertarian, and I agree with both left and right "wings" on different issues, as well as being atheist...just because I'm atheist and secular, it doesn't mean I have to be "liberal", and most certainly doesn't mean I'd want to infringe on people's basic rights in the name of my own set of beliefs...unlike some.

Don't worry, you should have no fear of this. What you should be afraid of is conservatives making Christianity mandatory. Although that isn't likely to happen either it's much more likely than your question.

Either you're trying to stir up trouble, or you don't understand what a liberal is. You've probably been reading Ann Coulter.

They may attempt it... if for no other reason than to keep the Conservatives from making all other religions illegal.

Well, the ACLU would like to make all religions illegal in the public arena. They'd like to force religion underground, behind closed doors, religious words and symbols hidden from the public eye, etc.

Sounds like a good idea, although I worry about oppression because those who are oppressed tend to become heros and people feel sorry for them.

Best to stamp it out entirely.

NO. Some liberals are actually Christian. Also, liberals, being *liberal*, believe in the First Amendment.
