What kind of a question is that? 0.o What's wrong with liking Mr Ashcroft? He's a physically-attractive man, and a creative spirit. Someone not being as devoutly religious as you, or fulfilling the same devotion, is NOT a good basis for a relationship. A non-Christian guy you dated could be one heck of a lot of a better guy than some so-called "moral" Christians. Perhaps you should even reconsider your Chrisitianity, if you meet someone in person that is a non-Christian that you really admire and feel a connection to.
Also, if God created the world and has a grand divine plan and design for everything...then either you are meant to like Richard Ashcroft, or your womanly urges are perfectly natural...if He exists, he put them in you for a reason.

First of all, Religion is just a method of control particularly targetted at women, and attained partly through the teaching of morals, i.e. what is considered to be right and wrong. Do not be subject to Religions' very many falsehoods. As a Christian, you might well believe that you have a unique personal relationship with God and truly believe that he talks to your inner self. People worshipping other religions, some of which may inherently exclude the possibility of Christ, also apparently experience the same feelings as total belief and a relationship with their own god as yourself, and believe that only they are right. Such mutually exclusive positions cannot both be right. Ask yourself what evidence you have that the God of the jewish bible actually exists, and why you believe in it. There is absolutely no evidence for this. Quoting the bible is not evidence, as there is no proof that some of the most important events attributed to it actually ever happened. And it contradicts itself badly in places.
Whether right or wrong, your attraction to Mr Ashcroft is a manifestation of your subconcious instinct for somebody who appears to possess those characteristics that you instinctively desire in a partner. Whether or not you like this man shouldn't be dictated by a belief in any religion. If somebody is a non-Christian like Mr Ashcroft does that make them bad? If it harms no one then why should you feel guilty?

I believe it is because or our childhood conditioning. My dad was a sneaky awful person. I am attracted to bad guys because of that, i believe. God gave us our daddy's to guide us up into the way we should go and then when we are old we should not depart from it. I believe these things are imprinted upon our subconscious minds. Sometimes it is an issue of control though. Perhaps we had a great dad who was controlling...we may want to run from that. Our minds are complex. The only way to reprogram the subconscious is by listening to and reading the word of God. At least you don't have a worse problem than this!

I dont think Christianity has ever regulated who you become attracted to other than the devil.
I am sure we were put on this Earth to be challanged. As such a committed Christian I am sure you would find pairing with a non Christian an interesting challenge and I don't mean tryingto convert them.

"I'm so pure." That's a pretty arrogant statement, don't you think?
Non-Christian men are far more interesting. In my dating days I avoided Christians like the plague. Boring, prissy, and far more interested in getting me on my knees in church than on my back in bed, to quote my favorite movie. Yaaaawwwwn.
Find yourself a nice lively Jewish guy, they're so *cute* and can be so *naughty*, or even better, a nice naughty Pagan to prance around the maypole with. Such fun.
Actually, I'm just trying to shock you, although I meant what I said. In spite of what you may have been taught, hon, non-Christians are human beings too, and being attracted to one is no big deal.

You might be so committed to God, but you're certainly not pure. Sin still lives in you!
