I don't know what causes it, but I have a green left eye and a blue right eye with a brown spot.

Recessive genes. But I think it is very rare for people to get different color eyes.

it's a recessive gene that both parents have but it isn't dominate like the both blue eyes.

the eye color can come from further down the family line... not just the two of you
