hey! Well tomorrow i will be having my fist voice lesson with my teacher. what coud i except from her. WEll i also take piano with her. SO its suppsed to be 40 min piano and 20 min voice. so i have no idea. maybe you could tell what to excpet. Should i warm up before the lesson, cuz before the lesson i have choir practice and then i have to sing with my teacher for english mass. Please help thanks. And now ive been sing for about 2 weeks just with a stuffy nose, and I coudl sing and the duet is going well! THanks I could use any advice! Thanks

You teacher will probably teach you how to breath correctly, good posture so that you can use your body cavity, how to annunciate(good diction) and how to project. A cold affects you head tone, but not your body voice. Good singers can be identified by they way they talk. they project even when talking.

you may expect to have instruction in regard to projecting from the diaphragm proper breathing and some scale work accompanying her piano...and or your piano some operatic scales are also powerful tools...good luck

Just show up, warm, cold, stuffy or not. Don't worry. Be happy.
