From ages 18 - 20 there wasn't a whole lot that I wouldn't try. If I could turn back the clock, I would take that whole period back because now I realize that I was so stupid and am so glad that I stopped.

I tried pot and hated it. I would never do hard drugs but some people are born with addictive personalities or have a problem with mental illness, self-esteem, relationships and abuse. Those are some of the reasons why people get addicted. I don't think anyone has ever meant to get addicted but problems, body chemistry and need for a constant high, it is hard to get off drugs.

The denial prevents them from having to acknowledge they have an addiction. It is a crutch and coping mechanism shaped as a good time. A lot of people enjoy the high so much, they do whatever it takes to get one after the other and can't handle withdrawal, detox and rehab. They are severely addicted. I think it's based partly on physiology and also it is a psychological and medical condition and should be treated as such.

Nobody can just 'fool around' for fun without the risk of getting hooked. I would never try hard drugs, acid, or take several prescriptions. Even anti-depressants are addictive in some cases, like Paxel and Prozac.

Yes, i tried them, and yes I liked them, but I have one of those "addictive personalities" so I gradually moved up to opiate pain killers and they were my downfall, so, I guess NO it wasn't "werth" it in the long run. Iost that battle.

No way! All drugs are bad news. The best thing is to keep away from them altogether, unless of course they are prescribed by a doctor for an illness.

No.

When I was a kid, I had a lot of drug addict friends ( they were around their 20's ), and they showed me why I should never get into drugs, not even try them.

They told me, "look at us, how we get when the drug effects are gone, we're like crazy"
That's why I never tried cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs.

Thank you guys.
