I know acceptance is the final one. I also know that bargaining is one and so is denial. What are the rest and in what order?

Depending on individual needs, a person may stay in one stage for a long time, move back and forth from one stage to another, or move through each stage in the order listed below:

DENIAL:
This may be expressed by feeling nothing or insisting there has been no change. It is an important stage and gives people a "time out" to reorganize. People in this stage need understanding and time.

ANGER:
Often, after denying a situation, people turn around and react. This reacting can be defined as anger. It can be expressed in nightmares and fears and in disruptive behavior. People in this stage need opportunities to express anger in a positive and healthy way.

BARGAINING:
The purpose of bargaining is to regain a loss. Consequently, a promise is made to do something in order to get something in return.

Bargaining may be expressed through threats, tantrums, or demands. It can also be expressed in angelic behavior or perfectionist tendencies.

DEPRESSION:
This sets in when it is realized that anger and bargaining will not work and one begins to understand that a change may be permanent. This is a stage of grieving for whomever or whatever is lost.

People in this stage need to know that others understand and are concerned about their feelings.

ACCEPTANCE:
Acknowledgement of a death _ a period of calm after release of emotions, demonstrated by a lifting of sadness and a willingness to keep living.

HOPE:
Evidenced by a revitalization of energy, a renewed interest in old friends, the development of new friendships, and the return of a sense of humor.

Here are the five stages of Death and Dying Kuber-Ross
1, Denial and isolation: Denial and isolation make up the first stage in the dying process as she defined-it. Denial is both healthy and familiar initial reaction. It cushions patients from the initial shock and allows them to deal with both their hope and their despair.

2. Anger: Anger frequently follows denial as patients begin to accept the real possibility of death. there may be rage, envy, resentment, and bitterness. This frequently includes the "why me"? question that so often has no answer.

3. Bargaining: The third stage is bargaining. Usually these bargains are secret pacts made with God, regardless of whether the patients have been religious earlier in life. when bargaining flails, the next stage develops.

4. Depression: When death is recognized as inevitable and the loss has become overwhelming, depression set in, Depression often includes sadness, pessimism, gloominess, and feelings of guilt and worthlessness along with lethargy.

5. Acceptance: Eventually, the depression lifts as patients work through mourning the impending loss of their life or the loss of a loved one and come to accept the inevitable. This stage is described as being almost void of feelings. At this point, individuals are in the process of disengaging from this life if they are dying or disengaging from a loved one if that person is dying or has died. Here you go, hope it is helpful to you

Twenty Six Stages of Death -- by John Bryan

" Labatut had been writing his Memoirs. I gathered up 34 volumes of them, in 34 notebooks, at the widow's home, and, despite the latter's imprecations, committed them to the flames "
- Arthur Rimbaud

Heart stops.
Skin gets tight and gray.
Muscles relax.
Bladder and bowels empty.
Temperature dropping 1.5 degrees F.
Skin gets purple and waxy.
Lips, finger and toe nails pale.
Blood pools in lividity.
Hands and feet blue.
Eyes sink.
Rigor mortis.
Continues lividity.
Muscles tighten.
To full.
Now temperature of surrounding environment.
Semen dies.
Head and neck greenish blue.
Spreading.
Smell of rotting meat.
No longer recognizable.
Large blisters on skin.
Bloat and swell.
Fluids purge.
So loose pulled off easily.
Cracks and bursts.
All you have are your teeth maybe a jaw.

All the world's
Letters of love decay
From inside.

These instruments
Of death have writ
Chapters for all ages; the length of a worm:

aBCDeFGHiJKLMNoPQRSTuVWXYZ

Poem by John Bryan.

Peace!

I had no idea that there was 6 stages of death.
Alot of folks get to the verge of death like Appendix Rupture, but a surgeon saves them.
I think there is one stage of death, either God says its your time or God lets u stay on the planet longer.
By the way, u dont really die anyway, u are just passin thru this world . A greater life beyond this one.
