A download accelerator is used to compress data at one end send it and then uncompress it at the other end thats what allows for faster transmission of data. so therefore its not peer to peer software

No download acc' is not a p2p software... It is a program used to make downloads fast.. From my experience, it really downloads stuff real fast even faster then most of the p2p softwares....

It downloads stuff from web(http or ftp) faster by downloading simultaneously from more than one location.
