We all know, jesus's father is god. but when we refer to god, "in the name of god" we are referring to jesus. so really, who is god?

Well, the definition of God is, the supreme being, whose distinctive name is Jehovah. In contrast to the true God, there are false god. Some of these have set themselves up as gods, others have been made objects of worship by those who serve them. And yes, Jehovah which is the true God's name is Jesus father, and it is good to refer to the true God by His name, cause like I said that there are many gods out there and if you didnt know that in the bible, there is even a reference of Satan being called a god, so use the true God's name, Jehovah. And Jesus and Jehovah and the Holy Spirit are not one, they are all different. Jesus is Jehovah God's son, Jehovah God is the true and only God and the Holy Spirit is God's active force

The word "god", with a small g usually refers to a being of great power that can do superhuman things, like miracles, which Jesus is said to have done. The word "God" with a large G is the Supreme Being, the Creator of the Universe. Many people do believe that Jesus is one and the same with the latter. SO how could he also be the son of God? Well, that gets into the Trinity doctrine, which claims that God is actually three persons in one - "Father, Son and Holy Ghost". So that way he is one third of the Triune Godhead. I personally have always found that to be a very confusing doctrine, but many people seem to have no trouble with it.

Jesus Father is Jehovah God. read ps 83 verse 18. Jesus always said he was the son of the Most High. when Jesus Christ prays, he prays to his Father Jehovah. read also Matt 26 verse 39, also john 8 verses 17 and 18 , mark 13 verse 32, john 14 verse 28, 1 cor.11 verse 3 and john 17 verses 1-3 in your king James Bible

What that saying is refering to the trinity that god jesus and the holy spirt are the same thing.

God is our father in heaven,,and thats it...He does not have to be explained to noone..He is a God all I know is I serve him..and only him....you do how you know...but I choose a path of Joy,Peace,Happiness and mostly LOVE!!! Love breaks all the barriers down..I am free!!! I am truly free from the bondage of the world...I can walk in the same world as you but I can walk in peace and freedom,,No man can take it from me..I am the head and not the tail..Boy the Lord loves us all !!! No when we say in the name of the Father, it means God the father. Then you move on to and the son(Jesus), and then the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is a Messenger of God, so we can refer to Him as God; because we cannot directly get in touch with God.
