The answer would be that all religions can't be right. So which is right. Look at the holy writings and search for truth. For me, the Bible offers this truth, and it also has proved to be correct historically.

I know my god exists (I'm a Christian) because I met with him in a powerful way. I wasn't raised a Christian or any other faith, and none of the Christians I knew had ever convinced me of their beliefs, so it was only this deep spiritual experience that caught my attention. Nobody preached at me or prayed over me or laid hands on me but suddenly I was filled with this feeling of pure love, far beyond what humans can comprehend, and I knew I'd just met God. How I knew which God, well I was at my friends baptism on the beach, and when the elder asked if anyone wanted to be blessed by Jesus I raised my hand, that was when I got filled with the Holy Spirit (as I later realised that was what had happened). I was also instantly healed of depression at that moment. Since then I have studied other faiths but none of them feel right to me, the Holy spirit is the Spirit of truth and if I read something that isn't true, I can sense it.

Culture and Society have a lot to do with the differences. one can tell the type of society by the religion and one can tell the religion by the society. what GOD works for an agrarian culture wouldn't work for a hunting gathering culture as an example. Religion is one of the three ways to gain power and control in a culture and society. when two different cultures and societies meet they may exchange ideas in a friendly manner adding to wisdom and knowledge of both. however if a disagreement between cultures and societies occurs there may be conflict and the Religious Belief System who wins will say they won because their GOD is stronger forcing the defeated culture and society to accept the others Religious Belief System.

There is only one Creator. He is the God we worship. Any other being was, therefore, created and is of a lesser order. As far as being sure my God exists, much happens in my life that is outside of my control or influence, yet it all seems to go to my benefit. Even when things go wrong, they turn out better than before. It is too much to put it all down to coincidence, because there are patterns that go back 10 years or more. Sets of circumstance over which I cannot control, all building to an inevitable conclusion, and that conclusion is always in my favour. It all strongly points to someone guiding things with wisdom, intelligence and love. My life is no different to that of anyone else who trusts God. All can tell you similar stories.

Actually some Hindus believe that every God is the real God, and in the monotheist faiths of Judaism, Christianity and Islam they usually say they all follow the God of Abraham so they kinda say that yes they pray to the same God.
Also what kind of bizarre faith would say follow this faith but worship some other faith's God??

Perhaps because it seems to be that human nature wants to be unique and right much of the time. It seems ironic that in order to be unique, many religions have simply passed others' ideas down, they change some names and claim them as their own. And one of the classic lines is, "my god is better than yours"...and of course, there is only one god and it happens to be mine...hmmmmm.

To me as a Catholic, it is not really important which God is real, it is only important that there is a God. I cannot understand when people pretend to not believe in God, even though it is prettty obvious there is one. But if it is Yahweh or Buddah, who really cares? As long as it is not Allah, we are all O.K. as lond as we are pretty good people. And if it is Allah, we better start killing some infidels!!

There is only one God, he is just known by many names.
Most religions are based on worshipping God as our creator. It doesn't matter how we choose to worship him or what name we call him, we are all worshipping the same thing.

So that they can control them. What did the Catholic Church do to the Masonics because they took away control and held a group of men together without religion (Man I wish I was a male - let me in Mason people - I promise not to talk about God)

Our Buddha didn't say that. He said you try his teachings first. You like it or doen't like it is your choise. He didn't say anything bad about other religions and he didn't say his dhamma's are the best.
He was NOT God. He was a teacher. A teacher who actually found the ultimate truth by himself. He didn't say that god exists. We worship him as a teacher who truly love all living beings.
