buy your son another teddy and let her have the one she has a "crush" on . this usually happens when they are spayed after they begin maturing .she is not hurting anyone . are you uncomfortable with it which i think is the case being a woman you should understand your dogs need lol. this is normal behavior if it is not this bear it will be someone or something else. give her the bear it is certainly better than her giving your company's leg a whirl..... lol she if fine......

Actually, when a dog humps it's not a sexual thing...it's a dominance thing. Dogs will do this (yes, even females) to establish dominance in a pack. That's why some dogs hump the legs of visitors....they are establishing dominance, and communicating to the visitor that they are the alpha dog. many small breeds do this. Your dog is probably doing this because she sees your child has a close bond with the teddy. Dogs know that the humans in the pack are at the top. then the rest. the dog wants the teddy to know that she is above it on the food chain. For help dealing w/this behavior, go to Cesar's website.

She sees the teddy as another dog. Why, only she knows. She is showing her dominance over that 'dog' by humping it. The only way you are going to break that habbit is to scold her firmly (do not punish) when she is doing this. Also, keep the teddy put up when it is not needed.

This is dominance behavior.
If you do not like it put the bear up and when the dog does this get after her and make her stop. Scold her and let her know that you are not going to tolerate this type of behavior from her anymore. You may have to correct her several times but you can get them to understand it is not acceptable and they will stop.

I once had a Jack Russell with the same delectation for my father's cap! Perhaps it's a terrier thing.

My Jack Russell does the same with anything he can get hold of! Duvets, cushions, towels, socks and teddy's.

It is aggressive towards your son do not let your dog mistreat his bear.

Do think the dog can't tell who's bear it is?

The dog is not in charge humans are.
Punish the dog when ever he does something you do not like. Remember who is in charge.

Your son is small and the dog is probably jealous. If it was the dogs bear he probably wouldn't do what he is doing to it.

Humans lead, dogs follow. correct him the second he tries ANYTHING with the bear.
