Love is a condition or phenomenon of emotional primacy, or absolute value. Love generally includes an emotion of intense attraction to either another person, a place, or thing; and may also include the aspect of caring for or finding identification with those objects, including self-love. Love can describe an intense feeling of affection, an emotion or an emotional state. In ordinary use, it usually refers to interpersonal love, an experience usually felt by a person for another person. Love is commonly considered impossible to define.
The concept of love, however, is subject to debate. Some deny the existence of love. Others call it a recently invented abstraction, sometimes dating the "invention" to courtly Europe during or after the middle ages (though this is contradicted by the sizable body of ancient love poetry). Others maintain that love really exists, is not an abstraction, but is indefinable; being a quantity which is spiritual, metaphysical, or philosophical in nature. Some psychologists maintain that love is the action of lending one's "boundary" or "self esteem" to another. And others attempt to define love and apply the definition to everyday life.

The Meaning of Love offers and explains a definition of love in a way that is interesting, intense, clear, logical, and meaningful. All relationships --love, infatuation, friendship, dating, marriage, family, community, and professional-- involve three key elements:
Emotions -- how we feel about each other
Ethics -- how good or bad we are for each other
Joys -- how much we satisfy or dissatisfy each other
These determine the quality of our relationships; and The Meaning of Love explains how they interrelate, and why attraction --the normally considered most important emotional element and conventional hallmark of love-- is not sufficient to signify a relationship as one of love, no matter how strong or how enduring that attraction may be.

Love is a profound feeling of tender affection for or intense attraction to another. It is considered a deep, ineffable feeling shared in passionate or intimate interpersonal relationships. However, in different contexts, the word love has a variety of related but distinct meanings: in addition to romantic love, which is characterized by a mix of emotional and sexual desire, other forms include platonic love, religious love, familial love, and the more casual application of the term to anyone or anything that one considers strongly pleasurable, enjoyable, or desirable, including activities and foods. This diverse range of meanings in a single word is commonly contrasted with the plurality of Greek words for love, reflecting the word's versatility and complexity.
hope this helps u out and good luck.

Love comes in many forms -
love of God,
love for your country,
love for your child,
love for mankind,
love for your husband / wife.
Love for your girlfriend / boyfriend / husband / wife has a sexual component, but basically, I think love is deep caring and wanting your loved ones happiness more than you want your own.
Ask yourself, do I love this person enough to care for them through a serious illness, like cancer? Would I move across country to be with them? Would I love them if they were really poor or disabled.
Love is more than liking they way they look in tight blue-jeans, or the way they make love.
Good Luck!

Love is heartahce, love is stressful, love is never knowing who you are truly with, love is more hype than truth, love is giving all you have and then some, only to get nothing in return. What's the point?

Love is a deep emotion. It brings two people together for certain reasons. It makes you want to be around the other person. Share your life with them and all around be with them. Love in truth is unexplainable once you are in it.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Now these three remain; love, faith and hope; But the greatest of these is love.
I hope you see the emphasis of love as action and not just feeling. It is not just about burning with passion; but it is what endures, even when the passion and feeling is gone.
