LIfting weights is your best option, but speak to a gym instuctor or a personal trainer to get the right progam for yourself as lifting the incorrect weight is more likely to injure you rather than make you stronger,
hope that helps

If you want to increase your physical strength, I would suggest
that you add strength training to your exercise program.
Aerobic exercise, such as walking, jogging, or swimming, has many excellent health benefits. It maintains the heart and lungs and increases cardiovascular fitness and endurance.
However, it does not make your muscles strong. Strength training does.
Studies have shown that lifting weights two or three times a week increases strength by building muscle mass and bone density.
Start out small and work your way up gradually. Too much too
fast can cost more harm than good.
Be blessed and be healthy!

Diet is as important as exercise. Eat foods which are full of protein, i.e. Chicken, beef, eggs. This will help build your muscles. maybe try a protein shake (Holland and Barratts) Cut out junk food and fast food. Eat lots of vegatables to give you more energy in the gym. When you exercise lift heavy weights in smaller repetitions.
Remember no pain no gain! :) good luck!

Short intense activity such as weight lifting, push-ups or chin-ups will help you develop strength. you can try up to 8-10 repetitions with a load that is about 70-90% of your maximal ability.
Long medium load activity like cycling or light jogging will help build endurance.
