The difference between pity and love???
Pity you think, you feel it in your head and you express it with facial movements.
Love you feel all over, especially within your heart and you express it in any way you can.
Also pity is until the other persons sorrow has ended, therefore conditional, where as love is for an eternity and is unconditional.
One other difference about love and pity, is that a person can tell you if you feel pity for someone, but no one can tell you when your in love with someone, you just know it.

When you love someone, you often feel pity easily for him/her if he/she is in a miserable situation. That's empathy. Sometimes it works the other way round. You pity a person first and then you find that as you care about this person more and more, you become quite fond of him/her and love begins to develop. However, pity and love are two separate things and one is never a substitute for the other.

Pity is conditional on someone being pitiful which is a subjective judgement-love is unconditional and constant, never changing due to circumstances.

Pity is being with someone as a compromise and it wears out someday. Whereas true love is a strong decision and stays as long as things keep sailing smoothly.

Pity is loving someone because of their faults. Love is, well, loving despite their faults.
