All man made religions have that purpose. So have all other "isms" Communism.,fascism, capitalism, globalism, and all the string of religions. This is the process the human kind has to go through to discover that all this does not work hence it is is no good.Islam like communism will never succeed because it is contrary to human nature to be slaves. God has given us FREEDOM.

not exclusive to Islam

like many religions, converts to Islam or Judaism, Christianity all will be following a faith by a former real estate barron named Ibrahim and they are called proselytes for thier initiation ritual, but can never be called "Jews" because of race

the word Islam means 'committment' and while it's a serious decision to join, it's a far more serious decision to leave, any group you cannot leave freely is a cult and an oppressive society

it in an exclusive belief system based on religious laws that are for some states Sharia law, outsiders are automatically shunned and not allowed into mosques for contamination and unclean reasons, no chance a secular or person who uses reason can be allowed to enter

while some Muslims believe in a way of peace, extremist followers of Islam take it to the next level, and it is a relatively new interpretation of the Qur'an since about 1930, calling for extreme rigidity, fundamentalism and purity and adherance to codes and simplistic living and jihads a plenty

The learned people in Islam Ulema say so. ( in fact from roof tops!) According to them only religion permitted by God on the face of this Earth is Islam. Eventually every one has to follow this religion. To be fair to them they also profess that there should not be any force in such matters. The principle of 4 permissible marriages, strict avoidance of any kind of family planning measures has greatly contributed to increase in their numbers.

Islam doesnt ask you to convert by force but it asks its followers to be good at the extent that it impresses the other poeple and they can chose on their own.

Maybe you're thinking of Christianity.

The purpose of Islam is to provide a practical
program for carrying out the Law (Judaism),
with Mercy (Christianity) in our daily lives.

no ,sir its not the purpose of islam
islam is away of life that help us to go to heaven eventually in shaa allah , in fact if the whole world converted to islam this shall contradicte with what quran says ( 38. "And I have followed the religion of my fathers[], - Ibrahîm (Abraham), Ishâque (Isaac) and Ya'qûb (Jacob) [<>ã<>], and never could we attribute any partners whatsoever to Allâh. This is from the Grace of Allâh to us and to mankind, but most men thank not (i.e. they neither believe in Allâh, nor worship Him). )
(40. "You do not worship besides Him but only names which you have named (forged), you and your fathers, for which Allâh has sent down no authority. The command (or the judgement) is for none but Allâh. He has commanded that you worship none but Him (i.e. His Monotheism), that is the (true) straight religion, but most men know not )

(102. This is of the news of the Ghaib (unseen) which We reveal by Inspiration to you (O Muhammad SAW ). You were not (present) with them when they arranged their plan together, and (also, while) they were plotting.

103. And most of mankind will not believe even if you desire it eagerly.
if you see that allah knows that most ppl wont believe , of course we would be have if many ppl converted to islam but its not our job we only tell them about islam true teaching ,if they wanted to believe or not ,this would be their choice

prophet muhammed was sent for all mankind as allah said in quran ( 28. And We have not sent you (O Muhammad SAW) except as a giver of glad tidings and a warner to all mankind, but most of men know not[]. )
this is what allah asks us to do ( 125. Invite (mankind, O Muhammad SAW) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islâm) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Qur'ân) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided )

let me give you more verse to give you a clear picture :

( 108. . Say: "O you mankind! Now truth (i.e. the Qur'ân and Prophet Muhammad SAW), has come to you from your Lord. So whosoever receives guidance, he does so for the good of his own self, and whosoever goes astray, he does so to his own loss, and I am not (set) over you as a Wakîl (disposer of affairs to oblige you for guidance)."

109. And (O Muhammad SAW), follow the inspiration sent unto you, and be patient till Allâh gives judgement. And He is the Best of judges)

and this verses too , allah said
(
Whoever goes right, then he goes right only for the benefit of his ownself. And whoever goes astray, then he goes astray to his own loss. No one laden with burdens can bear another's burden. And We never punish until We have sent a Messenger (to give warning).

(41. Verily, We have sent down to you (O Muhammad SAW) the Book (this Qur'ân) for mankind in truth. So whosoever accepts the guidance, it is only for his ownself, and whosoever goes astray, he goes astray only for his (own) loss. And you (O Muhammad SAW) are not a Wakîl (trustee or disposer of affairs, or keeper) over them[]. )

those verses from different chapters in quran
i hope it tells you the real purpose of islam
