I mean, Here's God, who knowingly sends his son to be cruelly mutilated and suffer an extremely painful death on a cross.
What tha! What sort of a father does that?

First, God is not a person, He sent His Son Jesus for you. To take on the burden of your sins so you can continue to have a relationship with Him. Sin separates us from God. Jesus has bridged the gap for us, making it possible to have a relationship with God.

What sort of Father is He? One who loves you unconditionally and only asks that you recognize in your heart the sacrifice He made on your behalf. It's a free gift and He gives each of us a free will to accept the gift or reject it.

A father who cares very much about his His other children, who knew that His Son would suffer but rise again. And who knew that unless He did this, the people He created would be doomed to hell.

John 3:16. For God SO LOVED the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

THAT's why.

the Jews used to sacrifice animals to god. so god sent his son so that they would nt have to do that any longer.I have suffered a lot more pain then he did on a cross.in my life pain is nothing.he came to teach us how to make it to heaven, all that call upon the name of the lord will not be saved on ly those that do my fathers will said Jesus.his fathers will can ONLY be found in the spirit of god, ask that spirit into your life and ask of it what you will.my son.

Chuck Norris does not hunt because the word hunting infers the
probability
of failure. Chuck Norris goes killing.

Chuck Norris counted to infinity - twice.

Chuck Norris sold his soul to the devil for his rugged good looks and
unparalleled martial arts ability. Shortly after the transaction was
finalized, Chuck roundhouse kicked the devil in the face and took his
soul
back. The devil, who appreciates irony, couldn't stay mad and admitted
he
should have seen it coming. They now play poker every second Wednesday
of
the month.

I think it is not quite right to question the beliefs of a billion and half Christians. God has his own ways. These are inexplicable. He also makes Jesus immortal and his name and fame spread far and wide and humanity is given a path to follow.

Abraham was going to sacrifice his son Isaac too.
The same sort of god that tells you to slaughter your own son and then goes
"Phyce!! Didn't think you were really gonna do it man, don't be mad!! Here's a sheep"
