i have found it difficult to allow people into my life when my ex left me for someone else.i am 23yrs and male.maybe becuase i am cool and believe in a decent relationship ?

Don't listen to that person who suggests you to buy a dog. It's a big commitment to keep a dog. You are 23 so you'll be expecting changes in your lifestyle in the next ten years. Having a dog will mean that you have to take him into consideration whenever there's a major change in your life. It's better to wait until you are married and settled before thinking of keeping a pet.
As for making friends, why is it so hard for you to go out and meet people? Have you tried joining any kind of societies or hobby clubs?

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
