Dear Kevin,
You have come to accept us, the nameless faces of the web, to be your friends and your family, your companions. It can easilly happen as there is so much "company" out there. Problem is, we are not "real" as you have realised by now. We're all people playing a pretend game, pretending to be blonde and gorgeous although were fat and ugly. So you should really try to contact with real people. Why don't you just walk to the corner shop and say hi to someone over the counter to start with? People also need a small amount of physical contact to stay healthy and happy. You are in dire need of a hug my friend, and that is certainly not something you can find here. I suspect you have just become trapped in the web....be kind to yourself and take a brave step to the outside world. You can do it, do it now!!!!Nothing wrong with you at all, gorgeous ; )

No one here can dianose what is wrong with you without talking to your personally, but it seems as though you may be suffering from a disease known as depression.

Depression Basics
Some people say that depression feels like a black curtain of despair coming down over their lives. Many people feel like they have no energy and can't concentrate. Others feel irritable all the time for no apparent reason. The symptoms vary from person to person, but if you feel "down" for more than two weeks, and these feelings are interfering with your daily life, you may be clinically depressed.

Most people who have gone through one episode of depression will, sooner or later, have another one. You may begin to feel some of the symptoms of depression several weeks before you develop a full-blown episode of depression. Learning to recognize these early triggers or symptoms and working with your doctor will help to keep the depression from worsening.

Most people with depression never seek help, even though the majority will respond to treatment. Treating depression is especially important because it affects you, your family, and your work. Some people with depression try to harm themselves in the mistaken belief that how they are feeling will never change. Depression is a treatable illness.

Life with depression
Working with your doctor, you can learn to manage depression. You may have to try a few different medications to find the one that works best for you. Your doctor may also recommend that you see a therapist and/or make certain lifestyle changes.

Change won't come overnight—but with the right treatment, you can keep depression from overshadowing your life.

The best thing to do is see your primary care physician/family doctor, and see about going on an anti-depressant. Sometimes they will recommend counseling or even seeing a psychitrist. Like I said no one here can diagnose you. But I can help guide you in the right direction.

Best of Luck,
Kimberly RRT

ignore the little boy who suggested you`d lost your keys. imagine how popular he is! Well it appears you have a form of deppressive illness. What form this takes only a proffessional can answer. A computer is no substitute for human interaction, if you have become as isolated as you claim, then a computer will hinder any progression you have of getting back out there. A short course of anti-deppressants will kick start your will to socialise again. They do work believe me. If you ask a doctor what you have just asked us he/she will take you very seriously and offer you help. You need help that kind of isolation is not normal behaviour. good luck.

You seem to be suffering from major depression and/or anxiety, which can both lead to a fear or apathy of having any type of contact with people. I suggest that you contact and family or friends that you may have, and if that is not an option you should call a Psychiatrist or the hospital.

Maybe your depressed. Please see a Dr. to check this. I saw this question and couldn't believe my eyes... I went through this very same thing about a year ago. I wouldn't go out in public, stopped socializing with my neighbors and never was out of my bed clothes. I ordered things online just to not have to go out of my house. I sent my husband to get things I needed, etc. turns out I was putting myself into a deep depression and didn't know it. I didn't think I was depressed because I still thought things on tv. were funny, I still cleaned my house, I kept up my hygiene, etc. I just didn't ..wouldn't leave my house. This lasted for about 6-7 months.. I put on weight which made it worse for me to even think about leaving my house. I was told that I was setting myself up for agoraphobia... a mental disease that a person suffers, it makes one afraid of being in public. After talking to my dr. and seeing psychologist I'm doing much better and get out at least once a day...even if it means sitting on the porch. Hope this helps, and I hope you experience life again.

Are you depressed? Or do you just like being alone? Don't you have a job, who gets your food from the store? Surely you have left at least once, what if you ran out of toliet paper?

Either you are PC-dependent or you're depressed. Or simply you don't like the people in your area and prefer the ones on the net.
