False. I think you might be misinterpreting what your dietitian said. I do agree that everything should be in moderation. If you want desert have it but only 1-2 times/week. 'Junk' food is usually processed food which is not healthy for the whole body! Processed foods can cause many health concerns, including cancer. If you are eating the right amount of calories but the food you are in taking is not healthy then you aren't doing yourself justice. It's important to eat healthy foods that are rich in antioxidants and protein and fiber and all of the 'good stuff' your body needs to function. Instead of processed cheese buy real cheese slices. Instead of potato chips buy sun chips or veggie chips. Instead of ice-cream buy low-fat frozen yogurt. Instead of captn' crunch (or w.e. sugary cereal) buy grapenuts, raisin bran, or oatmeal. Small changes like this will make a HUGE difference in your diet! Also...a 2,000 calorie diet is not recommended for every person. You should eat the amount of calories you do based on your weight, height, age, and level of activity. If you don't have moderate exercise a 2,000 calorie diet of all junk food would definitely not help you loose weight, you may even gain weight! Remember fitness and exercise go hand in hand, but if you want to loose weight shoot for about 1400-1600 calories, eating healthy foods. Another thing. Everybody loves junk food. It's up to you to decide how much healthier you want to become. Start training yourself to develop a taste for fruits and veggies...there are different ways to eat them. Try limiting your junk food intake. If you like soda try giving it up for a month. I gave it up for lent season one year and I honestly haven't liked soda hardly at all since (2 yr. ago). Find a new diet you can be proud of! Hopefully my answer was helpful...? Good luck. :)

1 calorie equals 4.184 joules
1/4.184 equals 1 joule
1X1000/4.184 equals 1000 joules or 1 kilojoule
therefore 239 calories equals 1 kilojoule
