Morris was in his usual place in the morning sitting at the table, reading the paper after breakfast. He came across an article about a beautiful actress that was about to marry a football player who was known primarily for his lack of IQ and common knowledge. He turned to his wife Sherry, with a look of question on his face. "I'll never understand why the biggest schmucks get the most attractive wives."
His wife replies, "Why thank you, dear!"

The world is so much nicer because of people like me, I felt soooo embarrassed, I can't remember what I did to receive such a wonderful comment, whether it was a kind act or good manners, I don't know but it lifted my spirits, like I was only 7 at the time.

Who ever you get married to, will be treated like a princess. That made me feel so nice and I was very flattered by the compliment, the context it was said in was when my girl mate left me to go abroad (I suspected she liked me and i liked her back) and she was just stating how much she respected me and if I ever got with someone in the future she would be a lucky girl.
I was so emotional - I had a tear in my eye in all! it was a moment il never forget!

1) That I am soft-spoken
2) That its true (with humility :))
3) It made me feel good, appreciated & confident
4) I was answering an old lady's qt (a friend of my g'm-i-l) at a get together & there were 12 of us sitting in this room...all of them were quite loud just trying to get their bit into the conversation
5) Yes. My f-i-l paid me the compliment, but behind my back to my husband and not to me in the face. We don't get along well with each other...so the compliment is priceless....

I spoke with my ex bf on the phone 2 nights ago. He said that if I married him he'd be the luckiest man on earth. Made me feel great. Still does just thinking about it. We both live in different countries and he asked me if I'd move to where he lives if he asked me to marry him. I'm going out there in December. We'll see what happens.

I actually got a really good one today, from my denal hygenist of all people. I went in to get my teeth cleaned and she asked me if I'd ever had braces, which I haven't, because my teeth were so straight. Don't ask me why, but I thought it was a really good compliment.

Compliments like "You're an angel", "You have an artistic flair", "You cook the best food in the world", "You mean a lot to me" all go down very well..

"I can't believe I've met someone like you in my life. You have changed my way of thinking. I am so lucky to have met you, and I respect every aspects of your choices."
From my X boyfriend...and something my current bf said last week is very similar.
