The best compliment I ever received was when my boyfriend told me that he was proud of me for working so hard in college. It made me feel great because my parents knew I worked hard but they didn't like the results I got.

that i was an inspiration to that person.
it was good because im undoubtedly the worlds most selfish, mean and thoughtless person and so for me to be an inspiration made me rethink my behaviour a lil bit.
context? i was yelling at someone for picking on a weaker person. then this other girl who was in my class and who never noticed existed for most of the day came up to me and told me i was her inspiration. asked if she was ******* with me she said she was dead serious
