First I'd talk to him. I'd ask him why. Then, I'd find a way to make sure he died. I wouldn't leave him there to starve. I wouldn't give him a chance to live or get away.

Hands are tied? Would sit next to him, make sure he won' escape and let him die. No food, no water. I know, it sounds sadistically, but,,, . It would be slow and painful death.
