my son is almost 4months old and he has had a bad cough for about 2months mostly at night,the medicine subcribed doesn't work.The doctors say its just the common cold but i think otherwise.

Take him back and have him reevaluated! Tell the doc the medicine isn't working. It's possible he has a secondary infection like bronchitis. If that doc doesn't help you get a second opinion.

I'd say give extra vitamins. If this doesn't work, you'll have to see a doctor for antibiotics. You know that trese is no cure for a common flu...you can only treat the symtoms.

If you feel that the pediatrician that you are seeing is not giving adequate care - seek a second opinion. Even if he is your primary on your insurance, you can contact your insurance company and request a second opinion and they will cover it. It is important if you feel that something is wrong to ensure your child's health. Good luck.

talk to your doctor about a nebulizer... my daughter had RSV when she was 7 weeks old and they gave her a nebulizer... it's breathing treatments, they advised me that any time she gets sick with a cold give her breathing treatments the nebulizer helps to break up the cold... it's wonderful really

get vicks and put it on ur chest and under the nose

TRY IT ITS MADE GOOD OR YOU CAN GET A POT WITH HOT WATER AND TAKE SOME VICKS AND DROP IT IN THE BOILING HOT WATER AND U AND YOUR SON SIT NEXT 2 IT ON THE RUG WITH THE POT AND COVER THE POT WEN ITS NOT IN USE AND PUT A BIG LIGHT BLANKET THAT WILL COVER U AND YOUR SON AND THE POT AND SUCK THE AIR AND MAKE SURE YOU DONT TOUCH THE POT
