There shouldn't be any reason to prevent you from being a teacher. You'll need to make sure you take good care of yourself - just as you would with any other job.

Be sure you are wearing your MedicAlert bracelet. It is also to your advantage, no matter where you are working, that your employer or a trusted co-worker know of your condition and what to do in case you have a problem. But that's just to help you if necessary and has nothing to do with whether or not you can have the job.

Absolutely not an issue, matter of fact if they ask you it is an issue. 1000's of teacher teach and manage extremely well with diabetes.

That would would be the same as saying students can't go to school with diabetes.

Just make sure you take care of yourself, eat when and what you are suppose to. If you need a snack at school maybe you need a mini refrigerator in the class. Don't want you blood sugar to drop while tending to the children.

Best of luck to you!

You are protected by the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. I currently have a member of staff with diabetes and there are no issues as he manages his condition appropriately.

i do not think your diabetics will be a factor...while you are teaching it is a good idea to have some snacks with you in case your sugar gets down too low, drink plenty of water and check your sugar level during the day while at school

when I was in primary school my teacher showed us how she had to inject herself everyday as she had diabetes. Never forget it as the boy sitting next to me fainted... he he
It won't affect your application, and also schools work with the two ticks scheme, which does not allow discrimination on the basis of blah, blah. Good luck.

No. It's illegal to discriminate based on any health condition, especially one that is not contageous or putting others in danger.
