How are aussies different from americans?

Are they more sportive and wild than americans? Anyone had or know the experiences with aussies?

I know a few Aussies and Yanks.
Both are loud, but Americans seem arrogant and loud, Aussies are more friendly and loud.
Both countries have their sporty folk and their beer bellied drinkers, but on a whole I find Aussies more approachable and friendly.
