It depends on the nature of your sickness. Have you tried the western medication and does that work? or you just want to try an alternative type of medication?!
With the Chinese medicine. It does take time for that to become effective cos the doctor will try to understand your body first, as well as your living and eating habits.
He or she will then select herbal medicine or other type to suit your body for healing.
I would also like to let you know that you might need to take Chinese medicine for at least 2-3 months depending on ur health for that to become effective. Reason being is that those medicine will try to clear or detox your internal system first then use specific or tailored medicine to cure your sickness afterwards.
I would say it will worth the time and money. Health is important. Either its Chinese medicine or not, you just want to live well and enjoy life.
Wishing you all the best and good luck. :)

I believe that chinese medicine is underrated greatly. Having suffered from acute stress some time ago I visited a chinese doctor and had accupuncture, accupressure and a massage. Wow! For two or three days afterwards I felt as if I were floating on air, I was so relaxed. The effects lasted for about two weeks. Here is an example of treatment for stress that has no side effects at all. A conventional doctor would probably had prescribed diazepam or some such thing - costly, addictive and harmful to the system.
I beklieve that chinese medicines should be offered on the National Health Service as a viable alternative to traditional medicine. One day it will. I believe that in England now they have started to offer accupuncture as an option.

Can all those Chinese be wrong all the time. Must be something in some of it. Trick is to sort the traditional Tiger penis and Rhino horn rubbish from the latest and best treatment for Malaria which the Chinese came up with years before the West

It's a bit of a catch-all. Some remedies have worked very well for some people - the same as other forms of "medicine". It depends very much on the person and the perceived/diagnosed dis-ease.
Be aware that some Traditional Chinese Medicines involve the use of endangered species.

It is Naturopathy. ie. the same UK old wives tale about chicken soup. But obviously honed to a far greater degree.
I would never make it my first choice for any ailment, but some of it is beneficial.
Because it is not regulated, and the Chinese believe completely in it, corruption is the biggest part of Chinese medicine.
You are unlikely, without the help and knowledge of a Chinese friend, to get good ingredients at reasonable prices.
Some of it is lethal if done badly, and some is fairy dust from our most endangered animals.
If you have a Chinese friend who is bringing you slow boiled soup because they think you look unwell, take it, it will do you good.
If they start bringing you nasty smelling teas, it's probably good for you, but ask politely whats in it.
Don't go looking for it yourself.

it works if its 100% real. it depends on what u are using it for but anything i have used it for, it worked, you just have to know that you are using the right one for the right problem. the best bet is to find a chinese doctor rather than go to GNC because they have no clue and from what i find, theirs arent as good

I believe in Chinese Herbology. They have an enormous amount of knowledge on Herbs and what they are for. I would trust their herbal remedies and in fact use them often. I also believe in Acupressure and Acupuncture.
