I don't like the idea of an MP3 player that REQUIRES that you use an operating system on your PC. People have a lot of problems with iTunes. Because of this I have no experience with iPod. I'm sure it's very convenient and easy to use but thanks to iTunes I'll stick to any "plays for sure" player that just operates like a jump drive in which you just dump files and folders in from "my computer" and go. My RCA Lyra is perfect and has never given me problems.

I'm gonna say I like it. I don't love it and I don't loathe it. At the moment, mine's not working and needs to be restored and it's my third one. The Apple Store is helpful but you have to book to be seen and they keep you waiting. I should just stick to a CD player.

personally, after using, Apple iPod, Song Walkman, Creative something, I love my Sony Walkman. Does the same as ipod. even, though, both have 30gb harddisk, sony is much much smaller and lighter than ipod. Plus, ipod's battery life is pathetic (10-13 hours ?) where as sony needs a charge only after some 25-30 hours. plus, after my experience with the ipod, i noticed you cannt change its battery easily. where as in the sony, your battery is very easily replaceable DIY. plus, unlike others, ipod litterally forces you to use itunes, and thus itunes store. i hate restrictions, and love choices. its my mp3 player, since i paid for it, and suddenly apple becomes my god father telling me to do this and not that, or your ipod runs out of warranty. as long as no one breaks their technology, the warranty should not run out.

Great little Machine.....
i have a 4''gen 20gb, to think you can have your entire music collection in your back pocket is brilliant.....
only minor problem is 2-4 hours to charge battery, and i dont like some of the eq modes.. otherwise 98% happy..
(but, to hear it sound the best it ever will, buy a pair of GRADOS60 headphones...(£70-80). Great!!!!

I loathe mine. It looks good & performs well until you try to import songs from any other source other than itunes. Next time I will go for Creative much better bet

I only got my black ipod nano a month ago, and I LOVE it! The only bad thing is that that battery runs down quite fast.
