depends on how he felt about you in the first place if he lost his feelings for you a long time ago then that is something someone would do. If it was you that had lost feelings for him weeks or even months ago then feeling had the courage to split up with him then happened to meet someone else you like you may do the same thing. No one can really answer for him you need to be asking him these questions because we dont know what he is thinking or feeling or the why you spilt up

It's natural. Men always like to put it about after they've split with someone. It's not to rub your nose in it, it's a) a reclamation of territory and their freedom, and b) a reaffirmation that they're still attractive. I think also that it's c) a little insecurity, but no man's ever gonna admit to that.
Just ignore him (and all the gossip that goes with it) and get on with your life.
