What sort of trouble?? I tend to ignore troublemakers so I don't lower myself to their level...If it involves physical harm go to the police....but remember "sticks and stones". I know it is very easy to sit here and type in my views without having experienced anything but please think before you act and I wish you all the best.

Have a one to one talk with the trouble maker and then tell them that you are willing to be their friend. In most cases people who are involved in toruble making have a problem of low self esteem.

What kind of age we talking about?

If they are an adult you can use male or female way

Male
Intimidation and or the threat of or actual physical violence.

Female
Character assasination
"shes a s lut", "he's married but spends lots of time with his secretary", "i have never seen them with (opposite sex)", "somebody said they're gay", "live with parents" etc

Though say your dealing with kids i.e your a teacher, you should put them in stress positions, like they do with Al-queda or alternatively sit them boy - girl - boy - girl
