Terrorism in all forms has always been around going back centuries.
One man's terrorists is anothers freedom fighter. Remember how some US citizens bankrolled the IRA for years whilst they blew up the British, so I find this "war on terror" laughable.
The great man Nelson Mandela was considered a terrorist by many at the time , where in my view he was a freedom fighter, although there is no doubt that some ANC members did terrible things too.
Terrorism isn't new, it's just suddenly affecting America for really the first time. Most other countries have lived with it for years, whether it's the IRA or ETA or any other similar organisation.
Where people feel disinfranchised (justified or not) then certain young men and young women will always take to arms.

Terrorism is defined as using fear as a weapon to influence either political or religious beliefs in a given group of people, so yes, terrorism will be around until the end of time.

The terrorists that we are currently killing in Iraq and around the world may be around for awhile, but they are fighting a war that they cannot possibly win. There is no possible way that they could match us logistically, and their ideologies are too extreme to support any sort of government or society that would last for any amount of time. Even if America were to have another civil war, or a complete revolution, there would still be enough people left in power (or at least left with guns) that hate the terrorists to continue a conflict with them indefinitely. Hence, they cannot win, and there is a good chance that we will win.

There will be other insurgencies, other terrorists with different agendas, and possibly even hostile nations or races that we will fight in the future, but the current lot of 'em will not likely be around for any serious amount of time - I give 'em 2 more generations(150 Years) at best.

It is indeed undeniable that terrorism as it is, can never be stopped, for there will always be a side of the mankind which has to be hostile. See for your self. Terrorism in its mordern out look is very well defined in the world. But even in the past we had all those raiding parties who used to raise whole town to ground, and there were no legal measures to actually stop them. Thank God that they didn't have bombs at that time. So you see, terrorism can't be uprooted. Its progress may, however, slow down or increase with time.

Orphans make great terrorists. If "people" stops bombing....If they can stop killing people now........then there will still be angry vengeful people out there for at least 50 years. Their fathers', grandfathers and brothers and other family members have been killed by foreign troops. It would be just natural that they grow up throwing rocks at tanks

Plus, the term Terrorism, Has not always meant a suicide bomber..etc

If you break the word down Terror-ism
It is a state of mind (terror), and the use of it, to achieve ends.
So It will never go away.

The difference between a revolutionary and a "terrorist" lies in the reason for which each fights. For whoever stands by a just cause and fights for the freedom and liberation of his people from economic and social tyranny cannot possibly be called a terrorist. The rich and the powerful in recent history have their classification of a "terrorist" completely wrong.

In the eyes of some people, it is the western leaders and their international and corporate allies who are the tyrants. Armed resistance is their only means of reaction when their voice is too small to be heard.

Tyrannicide "The killing of a despotic and evil ruler" was seen as moraly justifiable by Plato in his "Republic" and later aristotle in "Politic"

Are George Bush, his supporters and corporate backers tyrants?
History will reveal the answer to future generations.

An adequate education system would help bring about change. You see when you teach kids from birth that killing is ok and that the west is bad what else do they know?It is the children of these countries that suffer because they are taught this.It is the same thing as in the south where white children and black children are raised by families who hold racist views. The elders in the family openly talk about hating the other race. This causes many of children to grow up as racist and they really can't give you an honest reason why they are the way they are.Same goes for kids that are raised in the lands where hate is taught in school. They grow up to hate the west but really couldn't tell you why.

It will always be around. The point is to make it irrelevant as a major public policy point of focus. We have driven governments and countries to unconditional surrender so that their societies could act as rational and friendly participants in world affairs. The important concern today is to do that with obviously deviant countries that have strategic issues of concern for us. George Bush is serious about this. Too bad some partisan nut cases have no clue when terrorist whack jobs are in their faces.

I dont kinow how it can be stopped. You kill one of them and 2 more new terrorists show up. I said to some tean ager that I can remember when there were no terrorist attacks in the world, He replied, "You must really be old/" Look at poor Israel the terrorists wanted to get some of their key players out of Israeli jails. So what do they do? Come into Israel and kidnap 3 soldiers. We just remembered 9/11 where so many innocents lost their lives, HELLO WORLD WAKE UP
