the usual, regular things that happen in any particular setting.
ie, if everyone in a certain town had pink hair and hopped on one leg that would be considered normal.

WOW thats simply the greatest question ever and also the toughest.
I suppose there is no rigid defintion for it. The terms and conditions for being "normal" change all the time. Being normal is always proportional to the time period you live in. If you were considered normal in the !7th century, you may not be considered normal today. Wearing wigs were the IN thing a few centuries back but not so today.
In short being normal means, that you are considered to be a part of the general mass of people, following their codes in behaviour, language and so on.

In everyday use, "normal" means relating to a norm. A norm is a rule, pattern or standard. Normal also has two mathematical meanings, as in "a normal distribution", meaning a probability distribution defined by a certain formula, and "a normal to the plane", meaning a line that is orthogonal, at right angles, to the plane.

I can't really. Personally I don't believe that something like 'normal' exists.
But if I would have to define it, I would say that 'normal' is the standards and values of the mass. So it's cultural bound, and also bound by time. 'Normal' can change any day. Look at fashion for example. What is normal now is considered stupid tomorrow.

A normal to a non-flat surface at a point p on the surface is a vector which is perpendicular to the tangent plane to that surface at p. The word normal is also used as an adjective as well as a noun with this meaning: a line normal to a plane, the normal component of a force, the normal vector, etc. The concept of normality generalises to orthogonality.

Normal is the 'norm', the average. As this changes continuously in society - normal is being like the majority.

(m)

In behavior, normal refers to a lack of significant deviation from the average. The phrase "not normal" is often applied in a negative sense (asserting that someone or some situation is improper, sick, etc.). Abnormality varies greatly in how pleasant or unpleasant this is for other people; somebody may half-jokingly be called "pleasantly disturbed".
