THE ATMOSPHERE IS A MIXTURE OF GASES THAT EXIST IN FAIRLY UNIFORM PROPORTIONS UP TO APPROX 260,000 FEET ABOVE THE SURFACE.
AS OTHERS HAVE STATED
NITROGEN 78%
OXYGEN 21 %
THE REMAINING 1% IS MAINLY ARGON AND CARBON DIOXIDE
iF YOU COULD CAPTURE A CUBIC FOOT OF THE ATMOSPHERE AND ANALYZE IT, YOU WOULD FIND THAT
IT WOULD ALSO CONTAIN FROM ALMOST ZERO TO FOUR PERCENT WATER VAPOR BY VOLUME.
THIS RELATIVELY SMALL AMOUNT OF WATER VAPOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAJOR CHANGES IN THE WEATHER!
